2  Joomla SEF Patch extended version support (paid version) / Joomla 1.01x versions / Re: Google Cache - How does plugin work? on: September 12, 2008, 01:59:28 AM
so spent the last hr upgrading my site to joomla 1.015
got the latest sef patch
but the global setting for Global Google cache setting: is not controlling the pages.
The meta data is follow what the individual pages show.

any idea's why this is not working
i really don't want to change 200 pages.

can i create a Custom META field for noarchive?
and how would i do it

thanks

Don't you have the ability to set the custom fields in the specific parameters, for example on content elements?

Regards,

Richard

its possible, i have never played with it. So is my option for Google cache working properly?

this link no longer works

Ls,

See the documentation on: http://www.joomlatwork.com/products/components/sef_patch_extended.html

For the SEO in relation to the URLS part I'm currently updating the documentation, will be finished this weekend.

About the guide for SEO: there are a lot of resources available on the internet of how you should optimize your website. The SEF Patch extended version only enables the features you need in order to optimize your site.

7  Joomla SEF Patch extended version support (paid version) / Joomla 1.01x versions / Re: Paid license - when will this script come for new joomla 1.5 ?? on: September 10, 2008, 09:32:56 PM
Alright thanks for the feedback.

I hope with a future component that we can migrate data from SEF PATCH EXT from JOOMLA 1.0 to JOOMLA 1.5.

Im having 800 pages that needs to be migrated, that's alot of manual labour to update those for hand with new TITLES and META.

why do u have to manually do the titles.
I use sh404SEF to manage url, but it also manages titles, so i use Title: as the url name and use the Title Alias: to automatically make the page title, this way its automatic.
and meta should be handled page by page.
You need to use mtwMigrator to migrate your joomla 1.0 to joomla 1.5, i have used this and its easy to use and works unbelievably well

Which Joomla version are you using and what is the version of your cache component?

You can restore the default index.php from Joomla self...

Richard

Joomla! 1.0.15 and the latest version of  Joomla accelerate component. I removed the older version from march..
and installed and tried to use the latest version, but didnt work..

and ya silly me didnt think of simply uploading the index.php file from the joomla install.

All is working.
Thanks

12  Joomla accelerate component / Support questions / Re: Odd logged in cache issue. on: March 10, 2008, 03:44:02 PM
Richard
Sorry I don't have a URL

The site is only available on our Corporate LAN.

This is how we use the site.
Im part of our 2nd Level support.

There are several of us and we all login to the joomla frontend, some of us add content via the backend, but most add/modify content via the front end, as most don't need admin access.
Also at the same time there are the first lvl tech that don't have login access and just visit the site.

I already have this option in that field option=login
will this still work?

13  Joomla accelerate component / Support questions / Odd logged in cache issue. on: March 10, 2008, 02:46:19 PM
I use firefox to administrator Joomla! 1.0.15.
If i login via the joomla frontend via firefox, other users on the website & IE on my pc will be logged in with my user name & password and can see the private content thats only available to logged in users, but they cant view it.

Im using the latest version of the cache component from Friday. If i turn off the cache this doesn't happen.

How can i correct this..

Thanks

Hi im still having the same issue, with editing an option via the front end.

I am playing with Enable automatic cache deletion for the public frontend if i have it on i get this error when i try to save an existing document.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function check_post_set_bypass() in /var/www/administrator/components/com_jrecache/includes/cache_handler.php on line 332

I tried adding

option=com_frontpage|task=publish
option=com_frontpage|task=unpublish
option=com_frontpage|task=remove
option=com_frontpage|task=orderup
option=com_frontpage|task=orderdown

and then tried to add all the options in Enable automatic cache deletion for the Backend Admin
same error
Got any idea's?
Thanks
