Error editing menu

When trying to edit a menu-item I get the following error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/sites/site353/web/administrator/components/com_menus/models/item.php on line 211

When putting back the original item.php the problem is partially solved, I only get an error message in the backend saying:

Unknown Method item::getMetaData() was not found

What kind of menu item are you editing?

Happens with all menu items. Made some screendumps, but can't ad them to this post.

By the way I had to turn SEF off, because when trying to click on a username to view the profile, instead of going to the profile I was redirected to the homepage. Turned it on now so you can see what happens.

Are you working with J1.5 RC4? This because the files are patched only for RC4.....

Can I take a look into your backend? Please email admin + passwrd.

You should not only restore the item.php file but all the files. This beacause the item.php is within the 'model' which is requested with the views/item/view.php file.
