Hi,

I just purchased the JAC today, after reading so many positive feedback on the joomla site.

After receiving the file, I tried to install it (first on a test site, since the original one is constantly in production) but the site is a 1:1 copy of the original one.

When I tried to install it, I first got the error that it couldn't alter the index.php. But when I looked I noticed that the url wasn't correct.

It was trying to install it in the webroot, and not in my sub-domain.
(it's an intranet page, I am using xampp, and it would be for example c:\server\xampp\htdocs\site\, but it installed it c:\server\xampp\htdocs\) I bypassed this (I think Smiley ) by editing the install file

   $patched_file = $root_folder . _DS . site . _DS . 'jindex.php';
   $orginal_file = $root_folder . _DS . site . _DS . 'index.php';
   $jreindex_file = $root_folder . _DS . site . _DS . 'administrator'. _DS . 'components' . _DS . 'com_jrecache'. _DS .'install_files' . _DS . 'index.php';

Then reinstalled it with my altered version, So far so good, and I could get in to the config, I then needed to change the database file, (to also match the url).
After that no errors, so I assumed that it would work fine.
I enabled the cache, and then tried to login with the frontend, but no go.
I says that my username or password is not correct. I verified pass etc, but they are correct.
We are using CB (1.0.13) to login, furthermore we are using JACL (1.0.13).

Do you have a suggestion to make it work?

Thanks, Daniel

You can configure the action on which the cache can be disabled for example a login action. Therefore check the HTML code and see which $POST parameters are set to made the login.:

Quote
Set the bypass cache cookie if the following actions are set:

For example:

Quote
option=login
op2=login

If one of these action are true a cookie is set to bypass the cache and the login action is performed...

If you doubt please let me look at the html of the website.

Richard

Hi,

Thank you for your message. Smiley

Although I can follow you for a big part what you mean, but I am not quite sure where this info is located, and what file you want to see... the original index.php? or the output when a login failed?

I entered task=login, but it didn't seem to make a big difference.
For 1 moment I got a debug warning (saying that the location wasn't correct. But I couldn't get that error message back.
When I login with a user, I don't get the message that the username or password is wrong, but it just jumps back to the login page.
(with admin I still get a "username / pw not correct" etc.)

The login module is by the way the one from CB.

Please tell me what file(s) you want, and I can send it/them to you. Smiley

Thanks in advance,

Daniel

Hi, I'm using cblogin as well.  I understand it's a 'name=op2 value=login' but how do I put that in the bypass cache area.  I'm confused.  Could you put the answer in this thread so all of us can benefit?

Thanks!

Hi,

Which version of the Cache are you using? and which Joomla version?

General this is op2=login but this should be within the default configuration.

Can I check your site? Please email or PM me.

Regards,

Richard
