I am installing the Joomla 1.5 version and turned on the cache.   I receive the following error when I view a page:

Warning: file_put_contents() failed to open stream: Permission denied in
     /joomla/administrator/components/com_jrecache/includes/cache_handler.php on line 518

The cache directory is /joomla/jre_cache which I have given 777 perms to in attempt to get the cache files to write.   With perms at 777 on the cache directory, the cache files should be properly written.

I echoed the $filename and and $use_inc_path values and they are both blank.  Why would these values be blank if they are properly stored in the configuration file?

Please Help...

Have fixed the problem. You can download the fix from http://www.joomlatwork.com/dmdocs/index15.zip, unzip the zip file and place the index.pat file into your server root. Then rename the index.pat file into index.php file.

Also you can download the component from our login part. There it's fixed also.

Regards,

Richard
