updating breaks studio 3

updating using the built in updater seems to break things horribly.  How can things be "fixed" without reinstalling?

I've had another report about this, sorry this is causing havoc for you.

Best approach is to backup the workspace directory and your xampp/htdocs directory, uninstall, reinstall and restore your workspace and xampp/htdocs directories.

If you changed other settings in other dir's, please back these up as well and restore afterwards.
