Installation Error

I've searched the forums but i didnt see anyone with this issue. I'm running Joomla 1.5.2 stable.

When i try to upload the "com_jrecache_3.0_J15.zip" file i get the following error message.

JFolder::create: Could not create directory
Warning! - Failed to move file

I've set all the permissions at the instructions indicate.

I thought i would do the manual install but maybe i'm just missing something with the instructions. I understand how rename the files and all that but what do i do with all the other files in the installation package. Where do they go?

This could be an issue of the permission of the Joomla installation directories.

For manual installation

The cache component is installed within /administrator/components/com_jreache.

Also notice the table that should be created for the cache repository:

Also insert a row into the components table:

After this you need to replace the /index.php file with the com_jrecache/install_files/index.pat and the /administrator/index.php with  com_jrecache/install_files/index_admin.pat (in case of J1.0)

Then goto the administrator part and enable the cache.

this portion is only performed if i have j1.0?

I'm installing on j1.5.2

Thanks for the help.. I got the installation complete and it seems to be working althought i'm not sure everything is working as it should. If i go into JRE Cache Repository Overview can click on any URL link i get an error message across the top of the screen.

Each link has a little different error message ( here are 2 different ones)

SQL/DB Error -- [You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'WHERE id = '561'' at line 3]

SQL/DB Error -- [You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'WHERE id = '560'' at line 3]

I'm not sure if this is having a poor affect on the performance of the module or not but the site doesn't really seem any faster than it did.

Have you checked the debug output of the cache?

In regards of the error msg. Can I take a look?

Debugging was not turned on so i have it turned on but have yet to see it generate a log file yet. I've been trying to get it to create one but nothing yet. Is there something special i need to do other than enable the debug mode?

I thought it would be good to note that i believe the problem with the original installation was due to the Global setting for my "TMP" folder. Some how this was set incorrectly because i started to upgrade another component and got the same error so after alot of searching i found the solution.  Perhaps i should just uninstall and then try to reinstall this application the correct way and see if that corrects this current problem.

Ok, i got the application reinstalled but the SQL error message is still being produced when you click on one of the Cache file links. Here is the debug file but i dont see any problems with anything listed.
