I'm running Joomla 1.0.15 and version 2.1 of the Extended Patch. The Patch installed cleanly and without errors.

It appears to be working great; however, when I try to import a list of about 1,000 URLs, the operation seems to go okay and some--about half--of the URLs were imported the first attempt, but instead of taking me back to the page where the results of the import operation are displayed, I get a pop-up screen that says, "You have chosen to open index2.php. Would you like to open the file with <my php editor> or save the file?" The only thing I can do is cancel the pop-up close the Joomla administrator tab and log in to Joomla's back end again.

Subsequent attempts with the same list of URLs caused the same problem, but the second time around all the URLs were actually imported.

I checked the error logs on the server and didn't find any errors. I experimented with a shorter list, and the import works okay, so I suspect it is a problem with the number of URLs.

Is there a limit to the number of URLs that should be imported at a time or is there some fix for this?

Thanks.

The only limit I can think of is the PHP time out limit of the run time (is default around 30 secs). No I never heard this before.....Are all the URL's of the html/text mime-type?

Regards.

Well, leave it to me to find something unusual.

Yes, all the URLs are regular text/html of the form:
Quote

I'm running on a VPS with max_execution_time = 180 and max_input_time = 60. It seemed like the pop-up came up less than 30 seconds after the import started and after the upload of the list.

Very strange.
