Patch Install

I unzipped and uploaded all the folders and files from the patch zip to their locations. I have the correct patch version matching my joomla version. I have upload several times making sure each file has been uploaded but, the patch still hasn't installed. I have no SEO tab. Do the robots, project and metaconfig files go in to the root folder?
Any suggestions?

Good luck.  I have the SEO tab but it won't let me click on it.  I have posted here weeks ago about my problem with it and have received 0 replies of any kind.  I even tried the Joomla site and they tell me to come here.  Its rediculouos.

YES put in root folder, use ftp, in filezilla i used the upload setting>replace if size is different, and it did not screw up the entire Joomla! 1.5.9 install. ....
phewww....   I did a backup be fore this install.
does not upload like a normal module..must unzip into folder and load into the root folder all the files, i think they end up deeper than the root, but putting the unzipped files in the root worked for me 3/2009.
