installation problem

I was trying to install patch_159_stable on a joomla 1.5.9 site and get the following error:

JFolder::create: Path not in open_basedir paths
Warning! Failed to move file.

Any idea whats wrong?

The free patch is not an installable component. Unzip the zip file and upload the files to your server.

Thanks for your reply Richard. I did this manually but somehow it does not works, I do not get the plugin installed and can not access the settings.

Anyhow, I was going to try this on a new website - but I dont have time for error fix, something that you do in few minutes would take me hours.

So I went into the shop and bought another licence of the extended version and then bought the installation service.

I will send you email shortly with the accounts info for this site.
