It's correct that your CSS has dissappeared. In the spefic location there should be the file present.

Can you check if the files are present at the location. When Installing the cache component these files should be installed at installation time. This file is called by the option in the JRE cache config:
Enable long experation headers:

Disable this option and check if the template zip_template_css.php is used for the CSS compression. Please notice that you should clear the cache once you have adjusted the setting.

If these files are not present unzip your zip file which you have downloaded and upload these to your server.

1. Is the path correct?
2. Is the file readable for the server?
3. If not present unzip and upload the files.

You can always make the cache engine working if you disable the CSS optimalisation.

Regards.

When unzip the JRE cache install file the files are located in: /install_files.

Note: which Joomla version are you using?

Thanks for the reply.  The files seem to be there when I look in the location that it  says they should be.

When I turn off 'optimalisation' I dont seem to get the error message - but I would like to be able to use this.

Can I PM you my site details for you to have a look?

Im using joomla 1.5

Sure no problem. You can email us also  at: services-at-joomlatwork.com. Can you add a FTP account also, this to check the path and other settings?

Regards,

Richard
