Hello,

I have browsed through the forum and tried the demo but couldn't find the answer to my question.

Is it possible to edit meta tags for things other than content? More precisely, I want to add a description to a component and to sections/blogcategories.

Thanks.

You can add META data description to to sections/blogcategories with the free patch. With the paid version you can also extend the META data with other fields and assign META data to component output based on URL's

That's a clear answer, thanks a lot !

I'd also like to know if the demo version of SEFpatch is using the extended of the free version, and how to modify the section / component metas, because that's the part I'm most interested in trying.
Also note that the site preview is unavailable (maybe it's on purpose but I didn't see any explanation).

I think you should try and provide a short and clear feature list with "what SEFpatch does" on its page. I almost gave up (but finally didn't seeing that the forum had quick replies).

Just simple. The free patch makes the Joomla installation SEO aware: improving titles and the standard META data. For example you can assign good title's to blog sections and categories.

The paid version has the same functionality as the free patch but allows you to add additional META fields, keyword suggestions on URL's assign META data + titles to components and have standard Google META tags.
