I purchased the SEF Patch Extended last week and implemented that.  Now today I purchased and loaded the accelerator.  I get this error on loading the site:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare set_robot_metatag() (previously declared in /home/thespre/public_html/administrator/components/com_sefpatch/config.class.php:343) in /home/thespre/public_html/components/com_content/content.php on line 2737

Please help quickly!

well, I just reloaded the original content.php from Joomla 1.0.11 overtop of the SEF patched one I had.  The site then worked again.  Then, I reloaded the SEF Patch Extended version of the file and the site still works.  Not sure what the accelerator did and if I have maybe messed up the functionality of it, but the site is back on.

Is there anything else I need to do or should I be up and running correctly with the SEF patch AND the accelerator?

Did you have the free version installed of the SEF patch?

In this case the installation of the SEF patch doesn't went ok. You should first reinstall the SEF patch undo files (from the free version) and then install the SEF patch component. In the free version the specific function is within the content.php you mention. This file should be overwritten by installation of the SEF patch component.

No, I already had the SEF Patch Component installed.  I had previously used the free version though and maybe that content file did not get updated in the upgrade.  I will reload it and see what happens.

well, did reload the appropriate files and it seemed to be working.  However, my SMF forum (which is in the Joomla wrapper) started having issues... not loading all the graphics unless you hit refresh.  I disabled the JRE Cache component and the forum was fine again.  Weird.

I wasn't noticing any difference in site loading speed though.  How long til I should notice anything?

You can use the debugger... See the configuration parameters..

I have turned the component back on, reinstalled the index file and things appear okay at the moment.  I turned on the debug option.  How do I actually use that?  All I see is how to turn it on or off.

If you turned it on you IP - address is filled in (check this please). If this is not your IP address make this field blank, save the config, open the config again and your ip address is filled in the specific field.

Then save the config.

Goto your website and look at the end of the page. You will see something like:

Joomlatwork cache debug information:
File not generated due to cache disallow filter: forum
Generation time:0.1132641 sec.

I have done this but do not see anything at the bottom of the site.  Should I see this on all pages or just if there is a problem reported?

All the pages....

Did you have checked if the cache directory was writable?

Can I look at your backend? Admin + FTP.

Please sent to richard@joomlatwork.com
