Caching my home page which is a virtuemart category - changes all the time

Hi there,

My home page is supposed to be a virtuemart category.  i.e. virtuemart menu link with a specific category assigned...

however it regularly switches to the main virtuemart category view.

then switches back and forth all the time.  any solution to this?  I did find one way by telling the cache not to cache the home page.

but to be honest that is not an ideal solution because the home page receives the most hits.
