The download link to the documentation is not working. Can you either sort this out or send me the document. I have purchased the extended version and installed it OK but I could do with some guidance on setting it up.
Thanks in advance

Ls, See the documentation on: http://www.joomlatwork.com/products/components/sef_patch_extended.htmlFor the SEO in relation to the URLS part I'm currently updating the documentation, will be finished this weekend. About the guide for SEO: there are a lot of resources available on the internet of how you should optimize your website. The SEF Patch extended version only enables the features you need in order to optimize your site. Regards,

We really need proper documentation for the SEF (Paid). the link you have included above does not contain suffficient information to make use of the software. Can you e-mail the full documentationor does it not exist in a fuller form?
thanks
paul

Currently this is all documentation that is available. This should be sufficient for the non-url parts. I still working on extending the documentation for the URL part (should be available soon).

Richard

Hello,
I am very new to ALL in SEO and Joomla world, but have purchase this paid version. IT WORKS! Thanks guys it's FANTASTIC but I must say I more than likely know 1/10'th of it's full ability. Example.. the Repository... my one is empty... and I dont know a) what it is for b) how to utilise it or c) it's full potential. I would also like to request some documentation / user manual even if I have to pay for it the same amount I paid for component... you do all the work after all BUT THANKS GUYS.... and look forward to a user manual.

Is the information on our website not sufficent? What are you missing? Is it too brief, are subjects not covered enough?
Hope to hear from you,
John

The URL repository is not automaticly filled. You must add manually the URL's to the repository. After you have added a URL you can FETCH the META data and the keywords suggestions. it only shows those changes what do you mean with this? Regards, Richard

Hi John - reading your thread and having bought the product - a couple things 'ring a bell' from the other users questions, mainly:
1) The URL repository - not 100% sure what this is for: i)Do you create for each webpage you have and use this as a quick means to update the meta data etc? ii) Why use the custom meta tags?
2) In the documentation under: "Other adjustments for SEO" - You talk about the response header are you saying your component removes this automatically? - I followed the advise the index.php always seems out of date - running tests with and without this SEF package.
3) In your Joomla documentation, the example of a content item... "entering the meta data and reviewing the <head> tag" doesn't add any head tags to my HTML page? Also, Copyright and rating fields are also missing from my installation (Joomla 10.1.12).
Advice much appreciated
Nick

1) The URL repository - not 100% sure what this is for: i)Do you create for each webpage you have and use this as a quick means to update the meta data etc? ii) Why use the custom meta tags? - With the URL repository you can assign META data (and titles) to none Joomla core elements (mainly produced by components). - Some customers are using custom META tags for example the copyright META tag or within other environments (intranet) additional META Ad 2). If you look at the Physical http responser header (are you using Firefox with the developers pluggin?) then you can see the changes and differences. Ad 3) => Copyright and rating fields are also missing ==> that are the custom fields you can define within your configuration! Richard
