This is just how the cache works, since the shopping basket is depends on the user and the content of this basket will (hopefully) change. The cache works without any connection to the SQL / other joomla code and publish a pure static HTML page.
Only solution that I can think of is using a Ajax module for this (this doesn't exists) and the problem with this is that connection to the SQL and other code is necessary...although this is less extensive then executing the Joomla core code...

Richard

OK I have purchased the Cache - maybe this section sohuld be moved to the other forum.

Have had a couple of people test with the cache enabled and there does not seem to be any problems with the shopping cart as I have it displayed on the front page

How can I replicate the problem.

Thanks,
Nic

You have enabled the cache? This because the shopping card is user related... The cache is only disabled if the user is logged in. If this is the case then it works fine.

Richard,

The cart seems OK, however the shop log in panel seems to fail to dispaly text (only the fields are visible) - was this what you were referring too ?

Do you have an example for me (link or screen dump)? No this is not where I was referring to...

Richard

Richard,

OK - its all working now and I see what you mean about the "CART" contents display being a problem.

It's contents get cached to different pages.

From what you are saying I need to remove this from the layout, send to a seperate page and and dont cache that page.

Is that right ?

Nic.
