I recently did the Joomla v 1.0.12 upgrade, uninstalled the previous verion of SEF Patch extended and installed the latest version. Now for the fun bit:

1,  I have configured SEF Patch to show the Title first then the Sitename.  It worked before, but now the Sitename displays first.

2,  I have disabled the Joomla generator tag.  But now it shows the Joomla META data.

Can someone advise why this may be happening please.

Regards,
Paul

It looks like that the defaults settings are back. If you deinstall the component the original files are restored. Could be that the installation of 1.012 doesn't went ok.

Did you have checked the configuration settings of the SEF patch component?

Regards,

Richard

Hi Richard,

Thanks for the very prompt reply. Keep up the good work.

You were right, my fault, I uninstalled the SEF component, cleared all the Joomla cache files, then did a reinstall.
Now everything seems to be working OK.

So this is a tip for all those upgrading Joomla.
Make sure first that you have all the latest components compatible with the upgrade.
Run a check on your sites menu structure, don't be surprised if some of the links don't work anymore, as mine did.  Thats perhaps because Joomla creates some new component ID's for some reason or other.  Simply disable the link and rebuild it.
But just as important, always backup your .htaccess file so you can compare and amend the new one accordingly.
