Backup files should be located in /administrator/components/com_sefpatch/backup ....

There are no files in there at all!

I should imagine that is because the permissions on the backup folder after the component install needed to be amended. It is set to 755 which is my fault as i have told joomla to set all new directories to this.

This may be something you might like to add to be checked by the install routine. Unless it did and i didn't read it properly Wink

I don't know for sure (because I'am currenlty working on a different place) but the backup will be done of the files when the patch files can be installed...At installation time checks are made if the specific directory can be created etc...

Well it does not really matter to be honest. I'm not going to restore the old files and i could do it by hand if i wanted to anyway.
