I have been running the SEF component (free version) for quite some time with great success. However, I just upgraded to SEF extended 1.0.10, the install went fine, but after I was re-sniffed by Yahoo, my site went from #12 to #54. There had been no other changes since the last time I was indexed except for the patch. Google and MSN seem OK. Any ideas on perhaps a setting that I may have overlooked in the extended version? The site is http://www.playamayanews.com .

Thanks for any ideas.

pfff could depends on a lot of stuff. I don't think it's the extended version has dropped your rankings other things could happend:
- new compitors for the same phrases;
- changes of the algorithm of Yahoo;

On issue could be different : Titles. Within the extended version the company name is included within the title (that is what is see on your site also). This is the difference with the SEF Patch: a lot of users where asking this feature. You can change this through the configuration part as wel. (see title settings).

I advise you to reinstall the free version and see if you are bumped back up to 12 or so, only then will we know if this was caused by the extended patch.  I would be very interested in your findings.

I don't think this will help. Remove the [sitename] from the title and see if it helps. Also you must give it "time".  I could depend on other factors then the content of the site self: competitors, alghorithms changes, etc...

The main difference between the free patch and the paid version is that you have more control over the META settings. In other words you can configure it as it was the free patch installed. So I don't advise to install the free patch.
