The Joomlatwork cache component is now also available for Mambo 4.6x, Joomla 1.0x series and the Joomla 1.5(!).

We are proud to release the new 3.0 release of the cache component. The cache component is now also available for Joomla 1.5 and Mambo 4.6.x. The 3.0 release is build from scratch again based on an own code base and libraries and is available for Mambo and Joomla websites Version 1.0b of the cache component is still available for Joomla 1.0x serie only or higher.

Standard out of the box Joomla and Mambo websites generates dynamicly webpages on the user request. This means that for each request the specific page must be composed by excecuting PHP code and SQL queries. On normal "hosting" environment the generation of a Joomla pages can take up to 0,4 - 1,4 seconds depending on the hosting environment and the number of components used. For large volume visitor sites this can result into slow performance of the website. When enabled this component can "generates" pages within 0,02 - 0,001 seconds (depending on your hosting environment)

The component actual creates an cache environment around Joomla and Mambo. Please notice that this is a different caching mechanism that is default available within Joomla and Mambo: The default caching engine still needs to execute a lot of PHP code and SQL code and is therefore slow or will not function correctly.

Joomlatwork SEF patch for Joomla release 1.5 Stable and above

Although the Joomla 1.5 release offers a very good application / CMS framework the basics of the framework is not optimized to perform optimal SEO. Although some improvements are made in regards to the page titles is still lacks of customized titles and other SEO settings. From SEO perspective you will have no full control over the SEO settings in the Joomla generated pages. This free patch solves this issues for the 1.5 release.

You can improve the SEO settings of Joomla 1.5 with this free SEO patch for Joomla 1.5 . This patch solves the issues in regards of the settings within the  html head section of your html page. The patch allows you to gain fully control over the META and title settings in the http header settings in Joomla 1.5 generated pages.

To apply this functionality you must replace some core files listed below, reason is that the core code within Joomla 1.5 doesn’t allow the implementation of a good SEO component and plugins.

Get more out of Joomla

The out of the box installation of Joomla is in our opinion not fully optimized for search engine optimising features. Although Joomla offers a lot we discovered that some extra functionalities are needed to get the best out of the Joomla installation. Before installing the patch please read further about the changes we have made to the Joomla installation. You can download the patch from the download page or you can let Joomlatwork do the installation . Please select the correct Joomla version that you have installed.
